On-Campus Student Housing Community Opens in Florida

“A public-private partnership between Florida State University (FSU) Panama City and Zimmer Development Co. has opened Seminole Landing, a 346-bed on-campus student housing community in Panama City, Fla. Construction costs for the luxury community totaled $23 million.

The developers enlisted the help of architect Zyscovich Architects to complete the 155,833-square-foot project ahead of the 2021 fall semester. Asset Living was tapped as the property manager.

Located at 5000 N. Bay Dr., the student community is the only purpose-built property serving the students at FSU Panama City. The property is within walking distance of Gulf Coast State College and roughly 6 miles west of Panama City’s core.

Floorplans offer a mix of one-, two- and four-bedroom units. Apartments are fully furnished and include high-speed internet connection as well as washers and dryers. Students have access to study rooms on every floor, a gym, an infinity-edge pool, a lounge and a coffee bar. The property is just steps from North Saint Andrews Bay.

In April this year, Asset Living was selected to manage an upcoming student housing community located within 1 mile of the Kennesaw State University in Kennesaw, Ga. The Siloh, a 241-bed property developed by Fountain Residential Partners, is slated for completion next year.”
