We are seeking a self-motivated, proactive and reliable Construction Manager. You will lead, direct and coordinate the contractors and their subs on new multifamily construction. Full Job Description

Minimum 5 years construction experience on multifamily construction $25 million in value and higher.

Schedule and coordinate contractors to maintain or improve the project schedule, ensure that the subcontractors provide the proper manpower to perform the work when it is needed in a time frame to meet or improve the schedule.

Assist Development Managers in management of projects to meet expectations of quality, schedule and budget.

Have complete knowledge of all contracts, subcontract documents, drawings and specifications, shop drawings, schedules and general conditions.

Review and maintain jobsite plan sets, shop drawings and submittals.

Identify cost savings and /or time schedule reduction potential.

Work with municipalities to solve issues that arise in the field.

Review subcontract agreements and purchase orders with all subcontractors/vendors.

Maintain compliance with project safety program requirements, document and ensure correct measures are implemented.

Provide timely report of project milestones, costs, changes and schedules.

Coordinate RFI’s in a clear manner, editing work for spelling and grammar.

Weekly generation of 3 week look ahead schedules, short term schedules and determine sequencing of work.

Ensure that project is clean and organized.

 

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

5+ years’ experience as a Project Superintendent in the construction industry

5+ years’ experience in multifamily construction preferred

Proficient in Windows operation systems and associated software

Ability to work with numerous contractors and sub-contractors in an efficient manner

Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written

Management skills, experience in team and project management

Critical thinker and problem solver

Procore experience a plus

Many opportunities locally, however preference would be ability to perform limited travel within the state.

College degree required; Four year degree preferred
