City Council approved a request allowing for the development of a mixed-use tower up to 40 stories tall at 506 and 508 Capital Boulevard near a collection of large projects planned and underway in downtown Raleigh.
Wilmington-based Zimmer Development filed the request last year and is looking to bring a new mixed-use tower up to 40 stories tall at 506 and 508 Capital Boulevard across the street from the planned Seaboard Station development and across Capital Boulevard from Kane Realty’s Smoky Hollow project.
Zimmer Development Co. this month paid $5.3 million for the three separate parcels it needs for its Fulton Yard development, which as planned will include 535 apartments and 106,000 square feet of retail and commercial space spanning at least four buildings.
